Dinner box for two We ordered and picked up the dinner box for two. The food came wonderfully presented in a box with flowers, house wine, pisco sour and the extremely delicious food. We are thrilled and had a wonderful dinner for two ... that would have been enough for a third person ? and it was delicious.
Have never been disappointed and especially the different ceviche variations are all great! I'm looking forward to the next time!
A MUST when visiting Frankfurt!! Worth EVERY penny! (5/5) Food (5/5) We tried Ceviche Mixto (Fish with Citrus Juices) & Arroz con Mariscos (Rice with Seafood) I give both dishes a 5/5 as the flavours were amazing. Service (5/5) Staff were so attentive and so friendly, and they made it such a enjoyable experience. We sat indoors, but once there was a free table in the outside area, they helped us move our food there. We really appreciated this! Environment (5/5) The ambience and the decor of the restaurant enhanced the experience. The lighting was really nice and relaxing, and the music was great too. Good experience for anyone who likes latin environments!
Everything tasted very exotic and different from anything I have ever known ?? even the salad
Top!!!
Really really really delicious, yummy! Thank you for a great service! We had starter, appetizers, water, drinks, coffe + tea + 2 main dishes and dessert and we paid 65 euros. Not bad at all. Other than the prize the food was delicious.
Super friendly and attentive staff, food was very good. It was a great evening
It was very delicious here. The ceviche and sour pisco were perfect. The waitress accidentally ordered the wrong dessert and then we got 2 desserts! The wrong one and the right one, I can really only recommend it!
Great cocktails - in love with pisco sour and pisco maracuja. Food is also good, although most of it is sweet because of fruits.
I am an outspoken restaurant tester and a gourmet. Unfortunately, I have already been very disappointed by a Peruvian restaunt in Frankfurt and this time was skeptical, but then the number of visitors that I saw every evening spoke for themselves. Yesterday with my girlfriend I went to le Cevi for a real taste explosion with fish. The staff is very attentive and super friendly and they even introduced themselves by name. The greeting from the kitchen was the first interesting palate explosion and so was the main course. Every bite was a concert for the taste buds. The best I've eaten in a long time !!!!!!!
So delicious, I'm a particularly big fan of the different ceviche! Just great. Also very nice staff!
I scrambled a little when I saw the menu online as the prices are relatively high. But since I really wanted to go out to eat Peruvian, I reserved a table. Our waiter was called Orlando. The highlight for me was the cocktail and the dessert. I found it strange that everyone else except us received a kind of starter as a “greeting from the kitchen” (chips on white stones), but we didn't. I'm not sure if this was a free starter or if you had to order it. I only noticed that towards the end of our visit. If this is a free starter for all guests, I find it unacceptable that we as guests did not receive this. Especially not if it is an “excellent restaurant”. In terms of taste, I found the food to be good but not particularly worth mentioning. I wanted the meat to go through completely, but it came out medium. Then I had to let it go back again and my companion had the meal in front of them. So this was a bit annoying, because when you eat together you want to start eating together. We paid the following prices: A Blueberry Tonic (with a pisco made from 42% alcohol) costs 9.50 € and a sour around 8-9 €, the main course around 23 € and the dessert around 7.50 €. Overall, we came to a bill of 85 €.
We wanted to have a drink on Sunday. At 10.30 p.m. the waitress tells us that everything was already clean, although the internet says that Close at midnight. A freschheit in my opinion, you don't behave like that as a restaurateur. And the taxi ride was still for nothing. ??? If. I Peruvian. Then rather go miraflores a thousand times nice and always. Ready for last customers
Extremely delicious food. Unfortunately our main course was forgotten and in the end we were given the wrong bill. Unfortunately, that spoiled the impression a lot. But would give a second chance.
The food was amazing. Flavors that dance with each other, are perfectly coordinated and explode in the mouth! Perhaps not all 100% Peru is in it, but definitely a lot of love and ability. On the whole, the guest room is nicely designed. The service was nice. I found the length / shortness of the waitress's skirt a bit inappropriate. There were a few small things in the service that you noticed differently as a guest. After the main course had been served, one of the waitresses left. Before that, however, she did a few more tasks to relieve her colleagues, which is right, aaaaber polishing the cutlery in the dining room and that while eating is just too loud. It is also necessary to fill up the drinks, of course, but that should either be done a little more carefully, or only when the entire dining area is no longer full. Fresh flowers on the tables are super exemplary, but only if they are all fresh and dead flowers are disposed of. As a trained person, I was always taught that for good service it is important to do everything for the guest before the guest even comes to demand it, and without the guest noticing that there is work behind it. I think this is a guide that you should always have in mind. When the service at La Cevi pays a little more attention to detail (as is obviously the case in the kitchen) it also fits better together. I will definitely come again and when the service has adapted to the level of the kitchen everything is perfect!
We went to dinner tonight had reserved with a voucher book. First they let us stand at the entrance and didn't assign us a table. We then just sat down. Although it was pointed out in the menu that longer waiting times for food are to be expected at the weekend, 1.5 hours for a manageable menu is really too much. The service does not suit a restaurant that has received several awards in “Frankfurt goes out”. We were not noticed! Was it the voucher book? The food was good, the price and quality but, as I said, the service doesn't match! For us an experience that we will not repeat.
Very Nice restaurant, the ceviche, the pisco sour and the dessert were delicious. The staff is very friendly and the decoration is beautiful.
Pisco and service are very good! They do have a vegetarian option, which is.ok for a fish place ?
Fresh ceviche on a hot summer day was the salvation. Small greetings from the kitchen in advance. Service friendly and attentive.
Very delicious food! The staff is helpful and friendly. The location is beautiful, in a quite nice area of Frankfurt. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it! Highly recommended!
Excelente. Food was amazing, service was also pretty good. Food came fast, fresh and delicious. Will come back again, for sure.
Great restaurant, great service and high quality cuisine. Were there for the first time yesterday and it was just taste explosions. Creative and appealing dishes at fair prices. Can only recommend La Cevi and will definitely be back.
Service was very friendly and attentive. The food is authentic and delicious.
Attention foodporn! At first, the prices scared me a little the first time. But what you get served here is awesome. Tasty, texture, look - great!
Sehr gut!!! Nice place! Nice people and nice pisco!! ?
Great restaurant with excellent cuisine and great staff. We went to La Cevi for the first time yesterday after hearing a lot of positive things about it. Our expectations were absolutely exceeded. The quality of the food, the creative combinations, the varied taste and spice experiences and the serving of the dishes are a poem! We are thrilled and can only recommend it. The prices for the dishes are reasonable and fair. Keep up the good La Cevi team !! We will be back soon.
Wow, that was our second visit to La Cevi and we were very excited again. The food is just sooooo delicious and nicely prepared. The staff is attentive and super friendly. We come specially from Heidelberg to enjoy this dream of good food. Thanks a lot. We had a very nice evening in these difficult corona times.
Amazing Peruvian food in Frankfurt. The dishes are truly delicious and served so beautifully. Highly recommend this place
I went back today with a family of four and we had most entries and a main dish (see photos). I was very proud to share the high quality and creativity of La Cevi dishes with my Panamanian friends. We all really enjoyed the very diverse and amazing flavors of the dishes. Kudos for the menu which is more diverse now. The octopus was on point! and the ceviches were pretty good. There was no chicha morada, sadly and we had to wait a bit longer when we ordered a main dish but it was worth it! I will be bringing more people by. (previous review) We loved the food. We ordered a Ceviche with green sauce and Anticuchos as entries, osobuco and seco as main dishes. While everything was delicious we considered the entries the best, super tasty and more elaborated; the flavors mixed well, the term of the Anticuchos was perfect and the potatoes out of this world. Attention was great and super friendly. They even fulfilled some particular requests, we will be coming back.
This is a super Peruvian restaurant downtown Frankfurt. The restaurant per se is very well decorated with a mix of traditional Peruvian apparel and also modern touches to make it vibrant. The staff is very friendly and the food is very well made. The dishes are quite authentic with fresh ingredients cooked in a very genuine way. They also have a nice selection of cocktails and wines to accompany the food. The only thing to report is that I personally found the price a little bit too expensive but it is definitively a place I recommend and where I will likely go back. It is also indicated for kids.
Good food, high price
We had lunch at La Cevi on a Saturday, it was as quiet as it was lovely ! It is very nicely decorated, quite cosy, not too noisy, the service was great (the owners do speak Spanish in case your German is not that great !) And the food was simply amazing, the ceviches were very well done, with super fresh fish. We also had beef and tempura chicken, both great as well, the beef was perfectly tender, served in a nice sauce with large cut fries, and the tempura batter felt really light. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great Peruvian food !
Delicious quinoa croquetas with veggies and a salad. Pisco sour is also great. This is a lovely place
We visit this restaurant in a party of 11 on a busy saturday night. Positive: food was delicious, and every single person in our party was delighted with the variety and tastes. Food seems to be prepared with good quality ingredients in a modern style cuisine. Pisco sour was a big hit as well with most of us having several ones. Negative: service. It was a busy night, but a restaurant should be able to see calculate their average attendance and set the appropriate staff accordingly which I assume was the biggest reason for the lack of service. As far as we could see there were two servers and a bartender, plus kitchen staff which was nowhere near adequate. We arrived at 8 pm, drinks were served to us 30 min later at which point we all ordered appetizers and our main dinner. Appetizers came nearly 1 hr later and dinner about 40 minutes after. We would have been more understanding if we were given said information ahead of time and at least have somebody come over in between to at least refill our drinks, alas it was not the case. We were very patient but after not having anybody come to us for periods of at least half an hr we would go to the front and as for somebody to come to our table (mind you not to complain about food being late but simply to ask for more drinks). It would sometimes take more than one request for a server to come to us and sadly the attitude of the gentleman was very bad. He seemed annoyed and unwilling to help us when we were nothing but patient with them. The prices are slighly above average with servings which are slightly below average. Howevet portions and prices are clearly advertised by the restaurant on their website and the taste and quality of food somewhat justify it. Had our service been better we would have no doubt offer a recommendation without hesitation, however as it was, it will be a while before any of us come back to give this restaurant another shot. It is sad as some had been regular clients at its previous location (it had moved to its current location within a month of our visit) and were always satisfied with the overall experience.
Top food!!
Great ceviche and cocktails. Our top list is: triple for starter, plantano chips and tuna steak. Pisco sauer is also a must. Place is a bit pricey, but delicious and with good service
Great food.
True peruvian flavor, excellent classic ceviche and amazing "special twist" to the classics too, best cauza I've eaten in Europe. Personally i find the portions a bit in the tasting menu side, so one should get a couple of dishes to be completely satisfied. The octopus dish is to die for. Cocktails are quality too
THIS IS NOT PERUVIAN FOOD Well this was a complete disappointment: we came to this restaurant because of the good google reviews but unfortunately I'm not going to leave a good one. The service was overall terrible and unfrendly. The first thing I noticed when I entered to La Cevi was that they are using one of the worst quality Piscos in the market: Barsol, I have been to Peru many times and have never someone use this Pisco. I didnt even bother on ordering a Pisco Sour, my wife did order one and as expected it was terrible (and not well mixed, the bartender is inexperienced): we could taste the cheap Pisco. A supposedly ''fancy'' restaurant serving (and charging a high price for) this kind of Pisco is just disgraceful. I am not sure what the chef's concept is. It's like he is trying to copy the fancy restaurants from Lima by serving you small portions for high prices, sadly the quality of the ingredients here doesnt match the price. The traditional dishes are just being distorted at this place. Half of the plate is just decoration and sauce, even the ingredients they use for decorating the plates are not peruvian. There is no reason for non-peruvian ingredients to decorate a Tiradito or a Causa (with Tapioca???). I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone, this was definetely not a peruvian expericience. This is only a restaurant benefiting from the gastronomic peruvian boom selling ''fancy'' and small dishes .
Excellent food - you have to try the grilled sepia for a starter!!
Good food and nice ambiance
Two weeks ago I visited the restaurant with a friend after not being there for over 1 year. She never had peruvian food. The food used to be nice as far as I remember but this time it was even better and incredibly tasty. We went there very hungry starting the evening with a Pisco Sour "Clasico". (Later 2 more) I am used to have the Pisco Sour a little stronger but for my friend it was perfect. To get the best overview of the food we ordered the two main mixed starter dishes "Trio de Ceviche" and "Entradas Mixtas with Jacobs Shells (5€ extra)". Without any exception the food was very tasty. So many different flavours playing so well together. That day the restaurant was not too busy so all ordered dishes came pretty fast. The waiter Robert was very nice and explained all dishes to us. We ended up paying round about 75€ which is totally ok for the quality. Not the last time we'll go there.
Awesome Place with reals nice food and peruvian staff.
Very nice restaurant, the service is very good, and the food is very creative and innovative. Not so traditional ... But still tastes very good :)
Very nice ceviche
The food is tasty, but definetly it is not a place to feel satisfied. The portions are too small, in comparison to other restaurants, where main dish means main dish. We've been there for 2 times. And after both times we had to go to other restaurants because we were still hungry. The ratio price/service is not fair enough. As seen in the other reviews, I am not the only one with this same feeling.
Great good, great environment. Would definitely recommend.
My experience was very good. Everything was fresh and tasty
The food was outstanding, but the service was less than average. And I really mean just drinks to be served, not the food. Overall good place in Bornheim,l and I hope they will improve the service.
Best Cevice in town
